Help needed with my p38 auto diesel

hello im new to this site and also a new owner of my p38 range rover when i brought the car i knew there was problems i had to change the ring gear and starter moter battery and i put the hot start fix on aswell, which worked fine when my range was cold, how ever once i have travelled around 8 miles and its up to tempreture when i aproach junctions and try and pull off, the power dies and she cuts out and wont start again untill shes cool around 45 mins later any ideas people?

ditch the hot start. It sounds like its not switching out the cold temp reading.

If it's not the timed relay version it can do serious damage to the engine.

Sounds like the hot start is not working at all. It's not fitted to make it easier to start when cold it's there to make the ECU think the engine is cold when it is hot. Ditch it and change the ECU temp sensor.

Hi I had a problem with my Hot start kit. It had a 9K resistor fitted instead of the 2k Ohm required. Who did you buy the kit from? I did inform the Ebay seller of this problem with the kits, but he did not seem bothered!!
