Right. Im struggling to choose the final colour for my defender. Ive narrowed it down to two colours.
Alveston red.

Or caledonian blue.

I like both. But am useless at deciding.
Help needed please.

I would go red , just be carefull of fading in later ownership

I have a blue one which is boring as even with all the guards, winch and waffle boards it still looks like a farm truck :(

my bright yellow and black one on the other hand .......:) mind you paint it yellow and I will have to kill you lol

What is wrong with you all? Giving seriously duff advice and trying to make a perfectly good Landy next to useless.....

RED ONES DON'T GO UP HILLS!

Everyone knows that :rulez::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Thats cherry red or plum to be precise, not bad, but metallic? hard to cut in if you get it scratched a lot.
Reds fade and go pink or worse, there are some great high quality brush on coach paints easy to apply and can touch in when they get damaged.
But back to the question ...GREEN or cream (like me 110 that was green then sand then after mod cream)
Ok that not red or blue but you did ask :)

Im not keen on brush coats. Think they look a bit tatty. I can spray so mettalics dont bother me. And with a bit of practice you can blend in mettalics if they've been scratched.

Hard one that, both are nice colours. Gonna have to go for red though as I think it looks good with black accessories. That's the plan for mine anyway.

Was it an ex HM Coastguard landy?
No, but she is a response vehicle due to the charity I am involved with!

They couldn't afford to buy and run one, so I did ... before I retired.

She is my daily drive, and she runs like a dream.

0-60 in less than 15 hours, and will cruise at 70mph all day whilst returning over 30mpg!

In 6 years, she has cost me about £200 in servicing and replacement bits, so she is cheap to run! :D:D
