Help Needed K series/gearbox

I am currently looking to change the k series engine in my freelander the one i have aquired has an auto grearbox attached can anyone tell me if the bolt positions are the same for manual/ automatic gearbox to a 1.8 k series engine and if there is anything i should look out for? many thanks

yes they didn't change the engines to suit the gearboxes.

if the engine is a straight swap the gearbox will fit

You will of course need to swap the flywheel over to the auto's crank after removing the drive plate. You should use new flywheel bolts according to the manual
