Help my taildoor keeps opening itself?

I've just bought a Landrover Freelander. Started it today and the taildoor keeps opening itself. At one point it did whilst moving and the dog jumped out of the back!

Why is this happening and how do I stop it doing this?

maybe its delayed reaction and the door is trying to fall off

It sounds like the carpet in the back is attempting to escape from the pos you have purchased. This is perfectly normal.

Your dog also hates it.

Step 1 .. get the dog a harness, to stop it running away, it's probably so ashamed of being in the back though that it could be considered cruelty to animals

Step 2 .. Acceptance .. the door's do tend to want to fall off Freelander's

Step 3 .. Sell ASAP and buy a proper Land Rover.

do ya keep yo keys in yo pocket - coz if yu keep the button depressed it opens the rear window.
