Hi, I'm new to this forum, hope someone can help me!
I've nearly finished building my hybrid 1950 80" with a 4.2 v8 efi auto in it, from a 1993 Range Rover LSE. I've wired it all up using the original loom and ecu and everything works but it doesn't start. The engine turns over but the fuel pump doesn't pump. If you run a seperate power feed to the pump it works but there's no fuel at the plugs, as though the ecu isn't telling the injectors and fuel pump to work.
It looks like I've missed out connecting up a wire that will tell the injectors, fuel pump and ecu to "talk" to each other. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know, it's all ready to go and I can't wait to hear that v8!
Cheers, Dave.

did you include the wiring from under the drivers seat for the 2 silver relays that operate the fuel injection, and the inertia switch from under the passenger seat.i take it you took this engine from an LSE.

Yes, it's got the wiring loom from under the seat with the two silver relays. There's no inertia switch though. Yes, it's from an LSE. Dave.

you need the inertia switch and wiring. its like trying to turn a light on with no switch, as the inertia is the power to the relays.try martin toole in nursling.07885399785. he will have the correct switch and wiring.and anything else you may need.
any of you P38 boys, he is currently breaking a very nice 98 model. although the engine has been sold there is plenty of stuff still to go. including the becm with fobs. and excellent air suspension. its been sitting a month and not dropped an inch.
