hi dont know why my last post got toook off but any way i got key code lock out on my range rover bin too landrover and got eka code but still dont work all i did was put new battry on and now got this hassel ive done most of the wife tales (leve intion on for 1 hour , but key in the reset car battry, new key fob battrys ) but still not worken i can see this will end up in scrap yard soon if not fix so can some one help or put me in the rite direction too get it woken again:doh:

if it is on keycode lock out you need to leave it for at least 30 mins without trying it, but not with key in. alledgedly you have to wait longer and longer on each failed attempt/keycode lockout.
try just leaving it overnight if its possible and see how it goes!!

what year is it? if 96 or more then start eka entry with 4turns to the left. If it's a 95 just do the eka starting with right turns. Baffled me for a while! mines a 95

Couple of things to bear in mind. What year is the car? As already posted different procedure for pre and post `96. It shouldn`t lock you out if you`re inputting the correct code so one of 2 things...1) is the car recognising the inputs of the key by indicators or sidelight lamp flashing, if not possible fault with door lock/actuator... 2) Has the Becm been changed and the stealers are giving you the original code which is no longer correct.... If so someone like Irish Rover may be able to help. He has all singing and dancing equipment for the P38 and Becm access... Oh and also try the old favourite of resync on the keyfob... In the door lock and turn to lock whilst holding lock button down then turn to unlock holding unlock button down... Good luck....

hi all thank you for all your replys 1st one it a mreg on 94-95 with bmw lump in and i live in wisbech in cambrideshire mr irishrover now the indorcators only flash when i only 4 turns too left but not rite is this normal? and also only driver door will open and tail gate now it could be poss that the system could bin change as dont know what prevus owner did too it ill willl try all what you guys are saying and take it in acount it just seam these range rovers are one big head acke think time too go back too disco tdi at least i can bypass it my self :doh:

this may or may not work for you but it worked for me.
first of all open bonnet,remove ignition key and put it in your pocket,take off both battery leads,short them together,they do not reach but use a length of metal,short them together for around 30 seconds,this drains all the memory batteries,reconnect battery,your remote won't work,try to start car,it should start,if it does not you have more serious issues,to reactivate your fob lock and unlock drivers door with key.
