Hi All

I live in herefordshire and have a 110 300tdi! I need to take her off road but there is nowhere around here that I know of! can anyone suggest anywhere? The only place I go is the Forest of Dean however I don't really think its allowed! Can anyone help as Salisbury Plains is too far for a bit of fun!
Also can anyone tell me why I am getting 19mpg out of my landy? Thats driving steady. Got BF Muds on her, and disco transfer box?

Any advice gratefully received

If you look near the bottom of the page you will find the green laning forum. If you have a quick squiz on there you should see a thread entitled 'hertfordshire lanes?????';)

The Herts guys and girls are a friendly bunch and are usually only to happy to meet new faces.:)

19mpg does sound low. When was the last time it was serviced?

serviced 400 miles ago, a few weeks! **** huh! Its herefordshire not hertfordshire but cheers.
Will have a mooch on google!

nothing came up on that site for the hereford area! think I mite buy a field and hire a digger and make a mess of it!

just commuting to work on roads, no motorways mainly A and B roads, I did 172 miles on £40 of fuel! no heavy driving as I am trying to save some. I wondered if it was anything to do with the new transfer box (recon disco transfer)? Seems to give me better cruising speed but **** all torque on the hills, constantly changing down to 4th!

I make that 24.6 mpg assuming that the price of fuel is £1.24 per litre.;)

My 300tdi was slightly sluggish when towing up a steep hill in 5th but was fine unladen.

Wye Valley Garage in ross on wye.....!

What did the service actually consist of ?

One of the reason's I got involved in Landrovers was cos I got bitten by a cr@p garage that I think didn't even change the oil and air filters.
I was only young at the time and wasn't sure how I could go about proving it.

Now whenever I take a car to be worked on I mark the part/s that will be changed.
I also now do all my own servicing.
Saves me money and I also know it's been done. ;)

Ok i'll have a look let me know if u find one tho! Cheers for all ur advice. Wise move markin things up! Prob the case! Well any more ideas let me know!
