hi all i have a real problem that i am desperate to try and resolve.i have a 02 range rover vogue and tonight i moved all the seats to load up car and the drivers seat which is fully electric which has never had any problems with!! stopped moving back and forward ???? i moved it right forward to get stuff in back and move back seats down and then went to move seat back and nothing ??? everything else and all other seat movements work fine i am asking if someone has come across this before and theres a quick fix or even if someone could tell me how to remove the seat ie any special clips or trims to remove as im stuck at a freinds house cos no one can fit in the car with the seat that far forward so cant even drive it anywhere!!! any help would be really appreciated guys.cheers in advance
 
you need a torx bit, undo the seaat and lean it onto the back seat. you will find a couple of wires to the seat motors have been rubbed through or snapped. happened to mine a couple of years ago when the tool who had it before me took the underseat vent out and didn't refit it properly:rolleyes:

i don't know if you can manually turn the motor but it may be worth trying;)

ive looked as much as i can see but the only torch i can find is usless lol and theres so much under the seat its hard to see anything!!! from the back you can see the runners a bit and it looks fine from the front you can just see motors and wires!!! does anyone know the easiest way to remove the seat to gain access to everything ???
 
A location may help and also if you have breakdown cover they may be able to help

go for the breeakdown service m8, they will sort it and you will stay dry and warm. you don't want to be messing about in the dark with a torch
 
AA/RAC should sort it if only temporary.
Only quick fix is to make sure runners clear, unbolt front/leading edge of seat and tilt rearward to access wires/plug connectors/motor. Probably a connection underneath, if not does no fault code show on dash for a fuse etc?
 
have we been Dumped????? He got it sorted and now we are yesterdays news, a old chip bag :( left out in the cold..unloved..like a old teddy bear :ban::hurt::nothingtoadd: STUFF IM!

If you have breakdown why would you not use it fer fooks sake thats what you pay for maybe he phoned a stealer and was struck dumb and fainted at he call out charge or as DC says stuck under seat or seat bit his fingers off - the list is endless
