Hi, I have jut purchased a Freelander 2 (2012) HSE. I showed it to my friend and he said based on the seats and the carpet foot mats its a HSE Lux, not a HSE. Entering the registration into the car insurance web site it comes up with HSE, not HSE Lux. Not that I care if it is HSE or HSE Lux, but knowing how the insurance companies work I would like to insure the right vehicle...…..what do you think.

I think you should have introduced yourself in the intro section first, some members get a bit prickly about the forum protocol and then refuse to answer questions.

I'd just tell the insurance the reg number and spec (HSE), and see what they say. Normally small differences in vehicle spec make no difference to the premium, providing it's all factory fitted.

+1

It is the insurance companies responsibility to ensure their own reference data is correct.
