Hi Just joined the Zone and need some help and advice. I have a Discovery 2
3.9 LPG conversion 2002. I have just tried to change the front Pads on my Discovery got the old ones out OK made the mistake of pushing one piston back at a time on calliper on drivers side before I saw what was happening other one came out and some brake fluid seeped out the piston pushed back OK and I got the new pads in when I checked the brakes they are spongy on first pump then OK then you leave for a few seconds and they are soft again. Have I got air in the system have I ruined the seal any advice on how to bleed system is it something a novice can do seeing as I cocked up a simple brake pad change any advice appreciated Cheers John

slacken bleed nipple on caliper then nip up,put a pipe on the bleed nipple and other end in a glass jar pour a little brake fluid in just enough to cover end of pipe ,slacken nipple again 45 degrees ish get some to slowly pump pedal till no air bubbles come out ,keep an eye on reservoir level ,tighten nipple fully and do other side if necessary
