Finally ditched my CRV and have a nice shiny 53 plate v6 freelander.
Not fussed on fuel consumption, as I dont do many miles, so thought the
V6 a nice choice.

Lovely car with all the leather and toys, and the tiptronic is a joy.

Only fault I have found is that the autobox doesnt pick up properly in (2nd?)
if I floor it from a standing start...it changes at about 6k rpm, and then burbles a little erratically and doesnt pick up. If I use tiptronis mode and accelerate hard from standing still in the same way (manually change at 6k) it is absolutely fine... bit puzzling and not a real problem as I doubt there will be many time I ever use the kickdown like this from a standing start... but curious if its a common thing...
Didnt even test it on the test drive !!

Looking forward to being a member of the board.

well done for ditching the crv but replacing it wiv a gaylander:doh:

i think most auto gaylanders came with another kickdown option.

there should be a flap below the heal pad open this and you can then put yr foot thru and pedal like fook
