Hello! Im new, big plans for a Suzuki sj...

This site contains affiliate links for which LandyZone may be compensated if you make a purchase.
Look, how do you think a land rover owner would be received on a suzuki forum? I hope you are happy with your buy, but really, euthanasia is legal in switzerland, you dont need our help...

Its a project at the end of the day! ****in forum lot are useless... what everyones got already is always better than 1st timers!

it's not this or us on this forum mate, you came on here asking for help with a car that is nothing to do with land rovers, also it is possibly one of the worst cars know to mankind.take their advice which YOU asked for and buy something better than that suzuki sj shed.:doh:;)

I will try and be nice.

This forum is for people who have Land Rovers. Therefore, the fantastic expertise and experience that people can call upon is going to be Land Rover based.

I appreciate that money is limited but it is better to save for a little longer, for something much better than to spend now and regret it.

One last piece of advice. Don't get into a slanging match with these guys and gals. You will lose.

Cheers guys! Such a lovely lot :( (WASTED MY TIME)

After your little strop, I wasn't going to bother, but you are new so here goes. Sky Discovery Channel has a programme called Wheeler Dealers where they buy & do up a car to sell. One of the cars they did was a Suzuki SJ410 & they decided to make a mini monster truck out of it for offroading. They gave advice about mechanicals, suspension etc. & had to fit a secondhand engine as theirs was knackered. Don't know about the Suzuki but many of their other cars are on DVD & might be worth a look.
Oh & the other guys are right, to buy one of these without looking it over is suicide as they rust - badly.

to be fair they have a much better power to weight ratio than most landies, and because of thay they will do dry hill climbs faster and steeper than a landy. But that's where it stops. In mud or deep ,a standard SJ is ****e and won't get close to a landy FFS even a gaylander will see one off. If you wanna compete with a landy in an SJ you have to do a lots of mods. 1st one been a Spring Over Axle conversion.
