i picked up this little Tupperware truck this afternoon.
Lots of receipts and a full service history.
My first Land Rover.
Anything I should look out for?
It's a diesel and says Freelander Di on the log book but TD4 on the boot.
I'm guessing someone's put a sticker on.
Is there anything specific I should look out for now I've parted with the money?
Oh... And Hi, I'm Alan :)

Alan, that was a concise and dignified introduction. It should stand as an example of the proper way of introducing oneself here at the LandyZone.

Check to see if you actually have four wheel drive. Welcome.

I've just had a good look round the car in daylight.
I'm assuming there should be a prop shaft connected to the rear diff????
What's involved in making it 4 wheel drive again or do I take it back to the shop and ask for my money back?

I'm not a expert on the freelander mate but a few hundred I'd guess. I'm very local to ypu so pm me if you need advice on a good local garage that can be trusted

Thanks littelwill.
I've done a little fishing and I'll need props vcu, bearings, seals, bolts. Scary numbers.
But it's very pretty :)

Yep, you got the cheap bits listed OK - although I'm not sure where the seals come in. Then you can move onto the big ticket bits that have quite probably gone wrong at either end of the props as well.
