I have a P38 2.5 DSE and it won't start. The best part is, she drove up the drive last month, we got out and locked the car and went inside. About 01.30 the alarm went off, I got up turned it off and reset it .and went back to sleep. Next morning went out to her and she would not start, turning over but not firing. Called the RAC, they diagnosed a fuel problem and towed the car to our local RR dealer. They diagnosed a faulty injection pump and quoted £1000.00 to repair it. I had the RR recovered back home and sent the pump to a BOSCH specialist to test it, apart from a little water damage the pump was fine. They rebuilt the pump and I refitted it at a cost of £350.00. I have found some 'green' connectors under the kick panels, but have removed them (via the soldering iron). The only other indication I can give you is that when the alarm went off the message centre displayed 'ignition tamper' Any thoughts would be welcome!! Thanks, Ian.
