Mine is not 'that' bad but i'd hardly say it would roast chestnuts :)

I have heard they block up in the matrix but feel its also that the engines run pretty cool unless working hard, if im doing 60 for a while, i have to turn my one down a bit 'cos it gets too warm.

will flush out system and see if that helps ,only travel 5 miles to work so not really time to get warm cheers

My one gets very toasty inside, and I know Stu's does as well since I was warming myself through his open window at one of our green lane days over christmas.

The engine only takes about 2 miles to warm up as well.

Its gone a little bit cooler since I cleaned out my intercooler last weekend, as I lost a little coolent taking the top hose off to get the fan shroud out. I did not top up the water as only a little came out and the header tank was still up to the full marker.

I will be adding some more coolent tonight and the heater should be at full strength again.

The most common problem with heaters is the engine thermostat.
Had the same problem and so have others. Change the thermostat, few pounds cost and an easy DIY job. You will be amazed.

cheers
