Heater Plugs Playing Up (300tdi)

i was just wondering if anyone could help me here i have a 300tdi disco and when i turn the car on the heater plug light on the dash only flashes on then straight off (when cold) but the heater plugs dont click off for far too long between 10 and 20 seconds later and the car refuses to fire up anybody had a similar problem?

I don't know exactly what's going on there, may be a fault with the timer/temp sensor relay. However, the plugs are meant to stay on for a few seconds after the light goes out, but your light shouldn't be going out that quick.
