Have a 2000 dse, with the book an exclamation mark on the hevac screen.

Have read lots about diagnosing the issues but my lack of understanding appears to be buggering me.

The car blow cold only on the passenger side. Which I'm assuming has something to do with blend motors. But I lose understanding with the amount of blend motors involved.

Any helpwould be brilliant.

3 Blend Motors:

Left Temp
Right Temp
Distribution

Pig to get at, Left Temp (Passangers Side on RH Drive Cars) is easiest, but still a pain.

Distribution and Drivers Temp is a pain in the backside....requires removal of under Steering Wheel trim, the Centre Console Side panels - and if you follow the shortcuts - cutting of the plastic ducting that covers the motors....

RANGEROVERS.NET HOME has some great walkthroughs and shortcuts....

Official LR Procedure is to remove most of the dash to get at them....but there are shortcuts...

You do need to be blessed with flexibility, small hands and the paitience of a Saint to replace them.....

Diagnostics will hopefully tell you which one is at fault (or whatever the fault maybe) before you go and rip the car apart....

You can replace individual motors and splice them into the existing loom (all 3 are connected to the same plug!!)or do all 3 if your in there already....

The fun starts with trying to route the cabling if your doing all three as it wraps around the heater box under the centre console panel, and into the back of the HEVAC unit....

You can splice all 3 motors into the existing wiring - but whos to say it is the exisiting loom at fault in the first place!!

Diagnostics first - that should point you in a direction....

If the temp can be changed from side to side, and the distribution changes on demand - it could be a simple case of a regas on the Aircon...!!
