Hi all, can anyone tell me if it is possable to check the heater fan on a 200tdi without takeing the dash out? have checked fuses and relays, all good. Read on here dash has to come out to change it, just wanted to make sure it was the fan before i start stripping it out, many thanks.:D

I'm getting heat when engine has warmed up, just not blowing when fan is turned on. no noise from fan when switch is moved through all settings? Checked fuses, all good, checked relays, switched them with other things, still no joy!!!

You need to take the dash out to get at the fan motor on a 200tdi.
Before doing that, have you checked you have 12V at the speed control switch? Also have you voltage at the speed resistor pack?

sometimes my fan will just turn off when on full chat, tap the switch and it comes back on, you need to check the resistance and/or continuity of the switch first

will save you loads of time, trouble and er hair loss.

Thanks guys, will check voltage at switch over the weekend. I take it the speed resistor pack is somewhere near the heater assay?
as for hair loss Stu, that's gone already:D:D Again many thanks...
