Right so got to get this out as It is the likely cause of a near miss with fire in my Disco

Mine is a 1990 (G) Discovery 200 Tdi can someone confirm that I have to remove the entire dash to get the damn thing out?

Got a haynes but it demos removal on a 300 Tdi and is as much use as tits on a tom cat

Thanks for any help!

done it the other day - its really not that bad, just time consuming & a bit of a pain - there is a hidden fixing each side where the kick panels are ( inside the door shut kinda hidden by the door rubber )- 7mm bolts underneath each side to support the dash & the centre console has to be removed - to do this you will need to disconnect the handbrake cable as the lever has to be vertical to lift the console out - be carefull with the heater control plastic panel as they crack well easy ! If you need more info just ask as i did this two days ago & its still fresh in my mind !
