Heated Wing Mirrors???

Thanks for coming back TeddyWood....

It's a 55 plate and I am deffo sure they should fold as it has the symbol around the button, which the manual refers to..

What do you reckon?

pull the switch out and see if all the wires are there I know somebody who put a switch in to make it look good ????. if the wiring is there check the fuse.

Okay Ted.. I will do that this weekend. I suppose the fuse should always be checked!

Okay so the wiring and fuse are good. I pushed the button down and there was about a seconds worth of operation from the mirrors before they stopped. Pressing the button again just produced a clicking noise.

So is my problem to do with the motors being burnt out? I'm also pretty sure they don't heat up as well and have read that they are on all the time but controlled by a thermostat - is that any easy fix as well?!

on all time - thermostat known to fail, draining battery.

mine get like that once-in-a-blue-moon
( i use them almost daily on one particular street )
re-pressing the button usually doesn't work
but .. for some reason .. leaving the hippo shut down for a while ..
they work as normal on re-start ..

mirror heat: there be a fuse near each mirror assembly ( according to the circuit diagram )
behind the inner door trim
