Hi all--I have a 1996 V8 ES --Jap import --built in 96 and bought by me from the returned Brit diplomat in 2000. It has heating elements and wiring fitted to the rear side windows .These stopped working about 18 mths ago and am now only getting round to fixing them. The tailgate HRW is working well. My Haynes wiring diagram makes no ref to heated side windows so I do not know what to check. I suspect that group of yellow relays behind the glovebox may be at fault but this is based on a dislike of the colour father than logic. Can anyone help?
All the best

So I thought it could be the aerial, and maybe it is--------but its in both windows__maybe radio reception is really bad in japan! I did not want to cut the wire, nor track it through t he car to find out what it is. Does your aerial have four vertical gold coloured wires about an inch and a half apart form each other?
Thanks
Mussy

I have a Disco II ES and it has the aerial built into both rear side windows, presume the Disco 1 will be the same.
What would be the point in heating elements in the rear windows, surely if this was a mod, the drivers window would be first?

You are right Bigeeeee-I have just found a post from discool in 2009 which says that some of the top models had them in both windows.
I was thrown by the fact that I was told aerials were only in the offside window but now know better!
Thanks for your help

You better decide what disco model u have and read that post again as the high end D2 has two because of the Diversity head unit fitted, the D1 has one fitted and always has from the 1995/96MY onwards.
