I've had a saggy headlining on my P38 since I've had it, just over a year. In that time, I've tried to source a replacement. I entered P38 Headlining on ebay, and came up with a 2 piece replacement from a company called Myrtle in Kent.
I sent away for one last week and we fitted it on Friday. It's far superior to the old one and is much stronger. It does take 2 to flex it through the tailgate opening, but apart from that it was easy to fit and makes the interior look like new.
So you CAN get replacement headlinings for a P38.
Geoff:)

Price, photo's and a link would be good:D

A good find, but at £260 + £35 potage, its a lot, I have a how to, for £40, and at the end of the day, you still have to take it out and put it back in again, so why not just cover it with the how to? a saving of, £255???

Sorry, I didn't take any photographs. However, take it from me, it makes the inside of the P38 like new.
Re-covering the old one was an option, but now it's out, I wouldn't bother. First it needs more fibreglass to strengthen it, then you've to find a good cloth, then you need a very good glue.
The Myrtle 2 piece product is excellent.

They also do a one piece item for £240 but I think i'm going to attempt the DIY method first.
Will you attempt it in-situe, or are you removing the old headlining to do it.
Removing the residue of the old cloth/glue is very messy!!
I've a complete old headlining in the garage if anyone wants it.
Geoff:)
