Hi having a little electrical probs with my 1995 discovery 300 headlights when i put the main beam on the left one goes out

what goes out? sidelight? dipped beam? or are you saying the main beam doesnt come on?

check all earths.

If i flash the main beam the other side goes out

check the bulb.. failing that the plug on mine was rusted so check those and change if they're scabby, next stage is fuses/relays/earth.
