Morning all,
New to the forum and I'm hoping someone can help with a headlight issue on our 2007 Range Rover. Had a quick search and I don't think I'm replicating a thread.

Turn the ignition on and all is well. Go for any type of light and the main beam comes on. Sidelights or dipped headlights both work but main beam comes on as well. Pushing and pulling the left indicator stalk has no effect. The headlight delay function still works and I can trace the start of this issue to a time when I used the headlight delay.

Any thoughts?
Cheers
Justin

The 2007 model is a bit to modern for me :D

But if it works on a similar principle to the earlier L322, I would be looking at first the Stalk wiring and ensuring the switching thereof is carried out in the correct way by using a Meter to ensure the switch contacts work...next would be to trace the wiring to the Lighting Control Module and meter that out to ensure it is correct.

Next would be to check the LCM itself first with Diagnostics, then substitute for a known good one to see if the LCM has lost its marbles (not uncommon).

All the stalk does is send a pulse to the LCM and the LCM controls what to do, unlike older cars where the stalk was the actual switch or as a switch to a relay....in the L322 there are no relays for the Lamps, it is all switched through the LCM.....

Hate to point a Newbie to another forum but fullfatrr.com is more clued up on the later models.....
