headlight

do the headlight dip and main beam both share the same earth?

ive tried and tried and cannot get the main beam to work on one side.

replaced fuses,checked power accross the fuse and thats fine,the only thing i havent checked is whether the power is reaching headlight,hence the qs about the earth

Mine both run to a bolt on the inner arch.

so is there an earth for dipped and an earth for main beam aswell?

nope just 2 power feeds and one earth .

Might sound daft but have you just blown the bulb ? lol

have tried 3 different brand new bulbs..
next step is to see if i have power at the plug i spose.
looks like surrounds off and headlight out again

Before you do that check your bullet connectors behind the bowl ( go in through the engine bay ) , I bet ones come off .

Or corroded and not got good electrical contact.

mmm good idea..what with all the work i done on the respray i could have dislodged summit..ta

Aha! yu have misfitted the pob. Not the pogues (thats a group) but the pob, very rare to to misfitt a pob, although some pobs are misfitts. The police have been informed.
