It's necropost time. Wake up little thread :p Anyone know the part number for the headlamp lens. Once again I've looked at microcat with no joy. I can see the headlamp unit but not the lens.

Powerfull UK supply's a lens kit

Often cheaper to find a whole second hand unit on eBay

Thanks Hippo. Any idea if it is a 'part' that I could find a part number for, or if only they do it as an aftermarket thing. Damn lens has a crack from corner 1/3rd of way across.

addit: found it on powerfull uk , looks like it is a 'part' part. Might see if the stealer will give me a price.

Had a look at the powerful uk video and it looks like an easy job. Just wondering whether it is necessary to replace the rubber seal, as the lenses are available for around £40 without it and powerful want £89 with it

Further to all of above: Silly question time. What does (GCAT) mean when in regards to spare parts? Thanks in advance to anyone who knows :)

Headlight change is easy.

1st remove side lamp. That is held inplace by a white plastic wing nut thing.

take this off and then side lamp can be removed. Lamp iheadlamp is heald on by 4 10mm bolts tow on the top two on the bottom.
headlight comes off.

if you have headlamp wipers then the wiper arm needs to come off 1st. remove the plastic cap and then unbolt wiper. wiggle wiper off.

done.

Yep - Global CATalogue....:D

Thanks Ant, a mine of useful information as usual :D

Thanks Don, although have to say the powerful uk Vid mentioned previously states that top bolts are 10mm and lower are 8mm. Either way it looks a nice simple job.

Job done and dusted. With the exception of one of the lower bolts needing hacksawed off,due to being too rusty to get a grip on, it was just as the video said. Can confirm top bolts are 10mm and lower are 8mm. I now move up one step in the 'doing things on L322 ability'
