HeadLight problem need help quick

Hi all im takeing my disco for a MOT tomorrow morning so i thorght that i would check all the lights etc

with the engine running theand with the sidelight swich to on the side an head lights are on.
ive cleaned all contacts and earth but it still does it. i fitted a new light and wiper stalks but it was ok before that and i did have thi problem a few weeks ago but it seemed to sort its self.

so now what do i do take it for the MOT and chance it that they dont notice it or do i get them to have a look first and see if they can sort it then MOT it. or not MOT it and get a sparky to have alook

if anyone has had this problem with there disco 1 can you shead some light

What happens if you have the engine off and the side lights only switched on? Do you just get side lights? If so I might chance it???

yes when the engine is off the side lights stay on but as soon as you start it the main lights come on dim ish

That's your dim-dip then and it will get brighter when you switch to main beam (dipped or high).
