Hi there,
I got a m reg disco 300 tdi and a bastard of a problem with the headlights...
sometimes, the drivers side is fine but the passangers side is on very low beam
then sometimes i switche the headlights on and nothing works...and the high beam flickers...put it on high beam and flickering stops, but lights still dont work

I checked the fuses but theyre fine so not sure what could be wrong? It seems to have a mind of its own on this one so any help would be greatly appreciated :)

could just be a bulb out, when one of my head light bulbs went it messed the other one up (main beam light was on)

Look at the wiring to the bulbs.... apparently H4 connectors going sour are a common problem, the earth pin on both my headlamps were foul. and the bodging behind there from DPO (Dumb Previous Owner) were unimaginable!! Bare wire taped to the spade of the bulb? No wonder it was dim...

If it is the H4 connectors, they can be had for 3 quid each off flea bay.. solder in, job done

& whilst your at it.....disconnect the dim-dip electrical connection to the ballast on the bulk-head, near the washer bottle...I think this is the cause of many of melted headlight connectors.....
