head rest removal

can anyone tell me how to get the head rests out of a disco 4. The hand book says hold the button in and lift them out. no way will that do it. i have tried but they come to a definite stop and if I force any harder the actual padded bit feels like it is going to rip off.

You have to do both buttons simultaneously while also sliding the head restraint out ...
you may have to open the rear passenger door and retract the rear seat forward a bit in order to allow sufficient room to fully remove the head restraint as the posts are fairly long...

Well, that sounds a lot easier than on a D2, stupid things on them require removal of spring clips.....:(
