Evening all can I ask what people have used to lock the cam shaft whilst doing this job I have read the Haynes and it says about a drill but I have seen some people using a bolt I think I would prefer this option as I want to get it tested as well and when it's off and don't want it moving does any one know what bolt and length I shall need cheers graeme

What are you ****ed I'm doing my head gasket so have to remove the head to do this so as I understand the head comes off as a whole unit with cam shaft and valves still in it I want to lock it in position so that I can sent it off get it tested for cracks then hopefully put it back on in the right position

he knows more about your engine than you do and why do you think you have to keep the cam in it to get it pressure tested.

wind yer neck in

are you a knob?

Not a knob just had half an answer, I was under the impression that the cam and valves stayed in head when you get them pressure tested but if you are saying I have to remove it all then fair enough but there was no real explanation
Just" you can't leave can in" when I asked "y" I got "y would I want to"

You come on here asking for help and immediately insult the one member who could probably help you more than any other....

Well done

Yes been on here before and seen that you get about 4 pages of abuse before some real answers come out the wood work so I thought I'd start it of early
