Arrrgggghhh ! Too late for me too. Saved up and yesterday she went in to have her new Rear Cross with extensions fitted. Then a call to say it didn't fit. Alas it was from one of the well respected suppliers on all the forums but to get it to fit the vertical face of the rear cross was out of line which for what I am paying I can't stomach.

So a 110 TD5 up on a ramp at my very patient local garage and I'm absolutely sick as a parrot. Half of the products out there are poorly built out of 2mm tin which they claim is 'as standard'. Well what has been cut off is teice as thick.

The joys of Land Rover ownership continue. :(

Thats why I make the extensions as a kit of plates which allows for allignment issues;)

Got mine late last year, couldnt get the Landy to Clive, or do that much welding myself. Took the whole lot to our local guys who were no end impressed with the whole thing said it was easy to fit and probably the best they'd seen. Dont know about stopping off school perhaps put in detention till I can afford the HD bumper perhaps!:)

I looked in yesterday on the local Landy garage who are doing the Green Meanies' MOT welding & fitting one of pressbrake's cross-members for me. No pictures yet, but they've done a cracking job and they were VERY impressed with the quality and solidity of Clive's work.

Thanks Clive, both for an excellent product at a bargain price and for your excellent service. :beer2:

Thanks I do try ;)I was sick of it all, but I got a fair few emails that made me realise Im(my work not me) better known and respected in the lr world than I would have ever thought.
Also for every one I sell its one less sale for the china import lot

having personally seen one of these in the flesh can only say you'll be hard pressed (no pun intended) to find a better product for your money.

Jolly good show, that's great news. I'm gonna paint my cross member but I don't see it lasting more than a couple of years with the amount of corrosion that's there already. So I will be after one, eventually.

In the meantime, any news on my bumper?

tracking say 3 failed delivery attempts

Blimey, 3!? Not had any notes left. Some delivery drivers canna seem to find this place, even though we're the only property in the post code (oo, get me!)

Who's the delivery company..?

I'd get it done sooner rather than later as the corrosion will work its way into the chassis rails and its a right bollock ache if that happens. What would have been a simple and relatively easy and cheap xmember replace now needs a complete rear quarter chassis with all the suspension points etc.

Looking forward to getting mine as all of you have built the man right up and I have a sceptic for a mechanic, will love the look on his face when he says yeh that'll do!

He'll probably complain as it's a harder job to fit one well than the cheapies with extensions. Harder, but oh, so worth it! :)
