From what I gather, these are the parts I need...am I correct?

In 12V...
Starter motor
Alternator
Windscreen motor
Heater
Gauges
Fuel sender
Lucas distributor
Ignition coil
Ignition lead set
Lightbulbs

The S3 died on me and I have decided to give the whole ignition and fuel system an overhaul (i.e. new parts) and change to 12v as the parts are much cheaper and easier to find. I will also get rid of the dual FFR fuel tank set up in order to fit new comfy seats. I'll go for a single tank at the back.

I'll also be fitting a power steering unit and fairey overdrive. When I mean 'I' really it will be my mate.

I need to get various parts together and will then start a build thread.
I already have parabolic springs and gas dampers, fairey overdrive, p38 steering box, defender steering linkages, new wolf wheels, various gaskets other small bits and door rubbers

You will need a voltage stabiliser for the instruments, these were not used in 24v Rovers.
Years ago Brooklyn Engineering in Hampshire used to do free 24v to 12v conversions, such was the value of 24v components for export.
