I am trying to diagnose a “non start” issue on a military 24v 110. It is not mine and I have not seen it yet. The information I have is very patchy about what the actual problem is. I know the issue is it doesn’t start. I know the batterys are flat. I know It will Start easily with a bump start.

On talking to the chap I have had two Separate reasons as a cause for the problems. One being the starter motor and one being the alternator not charging.

I am happy with how to check the starter once I have some charge in the batteries.

I am happy with how to test thw alternator in a 12v system. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the military 24v system? Is the theory the same: ignition-warning light- alternator regulator- alternator output- battery?

@dag019 , ask in the LZ Military section and/or contact the very active MOD Landy guys on Facebook - there's much knowledge on the 24v systems and very good technical pages.

The files are clearly titled for each type of 24v unit, FFR etc.,

may help
