Just taken delivery of this 1981 Lightweight FFR.
Plenty to be getting on with, but (hopefully) mainly reassembly & recommissioning.
I'm hoping it will be a rolling resto, but I'll need to unpack the parts from the rear & give it a good once over.
Last on the road in 2018, so a lot of cleaning and lubrication to come, but likely the wallet-emptying parts list will grow as well.
The ignition has been altered to 12v off a dropper - is there any difficulty with the ignition parts, or are they more expensive than usual?

Sorry, I didn't see this when you posted.

My LW is 12V and I think always has been and so can't answer definitively, but I'm pretty sure all my ignition stuff is standard SIII.

I did a complete new chassis rebuild on mine, so ask away!

One unique bit is the light switch. Mine had been rewired to use the 'less used' terminals because the proper ones weren't conducting. It's fiddly, but stripping it and getting 40+ years of dirt and lubricant grunge out cured it completely - it's like new inside. Unlike the wiper switch which had arced the terminals away to nothing.
