Guys,

Final bit of help that I need to ask for.....

If your propshaft has failed, can you please post answers to the following questions:

1. Is your car a TD5 or a V8?
2. Is yours a Manual or Automatic?

Thanks in advance.

Also, If you don't mind guys, can i trouble you to post the information as well.

Regards

David.

Mr Fufu, why dont you forget this rubbish and just get on with your life.

That has to be the most polite 'f*ck off' ever.:D :D
Mr Fufu, this is a Land Rover enthusiasts forum, we all love em here. If you don't like your Landy then sell it and get a Shotgun or some other 'fur coat and no knickers' Jap crap. Then you will really have reason to gripe, about the cost of keeping the pretentious heaps on the road. As it seems front propshafts are your bone of contention, try pricing one for a Shotgun and compare it to a Disco 2.
Rob.......not a Jap crap fan.

You won't get anyone who loves a Landy more then myself.

I currently have a Disco 2, Disco 3 and 5 Series 2B Forward Control's sitting on the driveway.

The whole point of this is that LR know there is a design fault with this car and have managed to shrug it off for years.

Fact of the matter is you lot think I'm wasting my time, maybe I am, but I don't like to see big companies shrug things off and making the consumer pay for it.

Actually mine did snap, I was driving through Bosnia and hit a land mine.
I 100% blame Land Rover. can I have some of the money that you are never going to get?

Let us know if you have any success. One of the propshaft uj's on my 18 year old disco went a few months ago. Cost me eight fookin quid that did so if there's any possibility of claiming it back off the rogues that manufactured it so shoddily I'd be well up for it:eek:

Only 18 years old?

Sounds like you must have a friday afternoon Disco hughesy. Sorry to hear that.;) :D

Thought I'd just update this a little.

We have now been through 2 hearings in the courts and Land Rover has tried to dismiss it on both occasions.

The Sheriff last time we were in court has set a date to go to proof (Final Trial) as Land Rover at the 1st hearing failed to lodge any answers with the court.

On the 2nd hearing they tried to have the case dismissed as an irrelevant claim, they failed at this also and we now have a final date set.

I'll keep you guys posted.

Regards
David.
