Freelander 1 Has anyone changed colour of instrument panel on face lift model?

Hi, I wanted to change the green colour in the instrument panel on my freelander 1 facelift model 2006 so I was wondering if anyone has managed to do this and how hard it was to do as they are soldered onto the board.
Would appreciate any advice :)
 
From memory, the facelift FL1 uses surface mounted LEDs for illumination.
So unless you are an electrics engineer with experience of solder SMD components, it'll be more work than it's worth.
