There are those who buy RR for image, I doubt many, if any, of them are on here. Those who buy for image normally own for a couple of years, then buy whatever suits their image at that point. Or they own until there is a problem and then get rid. The vast majority on here buy their RR because there is something about it they love. Anyone who buys a RR for any other reason than love will spend all their time moaning about it.

That's me:mad2: It need a fecking exhaust now.

A consumable old chap! Thank your lucky stars you don't have a Citroën C5 V6 petrol, the back box lasts about two years and costs £1000 - no pattern ones available as it's a rare car.
That's the sort of price they want over here for the P38 system. I'm ripping the one off the spares dog and will fit that for the moment. When I come to the UK I might go for a Stainless one, just a little worried about the MOT over here with a non standard exhaust.
I know it's a consumable but 4 years is a short life IMO.

Four years is pretty **** - I'd have to agree. But a pattern system for a Dozel shouldn't cost more than £170. How do they check it's OEM? Surely one exhaust looks very much like another?

I want to fit stainless so it would be pretty obvious it's not OEM. Cheap BOSAL OEM pattern systems are crap. I'm getting to the age where next time I might not be able to DIY so I'd like something that will outlast me;)
