Hi all,

After reading a few recent posts on the handbrake, what is the correct way to adjust it on a D1 300tdi?

Assuming the cable is ok, with the handbrake off you turn the shoe adjusting bolt on the backplate so the shoes are tight to the drum and then turn back to release the shoes which will give you 3 clicks on the handbrake lever to apply, but then u may like 4 clicks and some like it with 2 clicks.

after adjusting shoes you should check cable,often its cable that needs adjusting,

Ok thanks, it's at 3 clicks now so I guess it's about right.
