Handbrake Light is always on????

Hi everyone

another issue thats annoying me. My disco handbrake light is on continuously and won't go out. Is this because my pads are possibly low? Do 300tdi's have these sorts of sensors? Or is a switch just dirty.

Any ones help would be great.

This one caught me out..... I was certain that me handbrake switch was out of adjustment as the light would always be flickering. I adjusted the striker on the handbrake..still no joy, replaced the switch..still the same.
Decided to ave a look at the handbook..... was only the fecking low level warning for the brake fluid level!
Topped it up..Sorted.
I'm fairly new to Landies, and I've never had a car before where the one warning light is for three things. Handbrake/Brake fluid level/Pad wear.

I know pads with wear sensor is available for the disco but what models have them fitted I don't know. I know my disco doesn't have them.
