Not been on here in a while (touch wood its been fine for the last nine months), 50 miles on french motorway and three beeps and eas goes to hard fault 35 mph:confused: only 300 miles to go on no suspension.
Got to destination got hold of a laptop. Got eas unlock off my memory stick plugged it in and cleared the fault RL valve stuck. Up she came and everything looked ok.
Now whenever i go out the passenger side sits lower than the driver side.
i can raise it up to high ride height and then drop it back down and its ok for a while but when i get out again its sitting unevenly. any ideas.

When you are sitting in the vehicle the suspension on your side is given additional pressure to compensate for your weight (no offence :D) so when you get out, the Drivers Side will be higher than the passangers due to this increased pressure - once you close the door the system should then drop the drivers sdie to re-level the car....

If it still sits uneven - time to break out the tape measure and see if the heights match the set heights:

Measured from Centre of Wheel Arch to Centre of Wheel Rim:

Access - 405mm
M/Way - 445mm
Standard - 470mm
High - 510mm

If it is out of level - use the EASUnlock software to recalibrate the ride heights....

If it continues to sit uneven - it could be a leak.....time to get the soapy water out.!!!

Thanks for the replies, but my gut feeling goes with datatek its a height sensor problem. Went out again today and had another car following, he said it was ok till i went around a corner one rear went low and didnt come back up. no faults showing. got onto motorway and she dropped to motorway height and i locked it at that, but when i slowed down it showed normal height again. Got out at destination and drivers side looked to be at wading height and the other at around standard/motorway height. after a day out at valle de singe(monkeyland) got back and hooked up the eassuite and it showed no faults.
So everything seems to work ok goes up and down ok on the rocker switch, just when i use it it will sit unevenly after a few corners.
Datatek im not too far from you in chapelle le moulier about 15 k east of poitiers. Im not too worried at the moment as it seems to drive pretty ok but if things went seriously tits up i might appreciate an experts hand, thanks

(throwing toys out of pram) - I did say to check the physical heights then recalibrate the sensors as I have a feeling a sensor could be the culprit - All I did was point out why the Drivers side is higher when you get out of the car....(still throwing toys out of pram) so I advised on checking the heights incase a sensor is out of calibration (last few toys going out now....) then I said if it isn't a dicky sensor time to check for a leak....(all toys gone)

I guess I should have been a bit more exact in actually mentioning the sensors rather than to just check the ride heights and a recalibrate - which would show a dodgy sensor....no matter....

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:p

Just a thought, with a door open, unplug and re plug the connectors in the EAS box a couple of times.
You are not far away from me, so I'm available if needed, I have a good selection of EAS bits but probably not a height sensor.
Did you enjoy the Valley de Singe (monkey park)? I take the grand children there whenever they are down. Futuroscope is also a good day out:)

Right heres the update. Got home yesterday, just.
With all the luggage back in the car it went to a hard fault immediately, Tried to clear it and it went ok but as soon as i stopped eas suite or disconnected the lappy it came back. So off we went with the lappy plugged in and eas suite running. !5 minutes later three beeps and were down on the bump stops again. reset and off we go, this happened a couple of times until i realised that it was the lappy going to sleep that was the problem. reset setting to stop it going to sleep and apart from a couple of times when i presume the cable disconnected we got back to calais ok. Except for when we were down at one point a particularly savage expansion joint in a bridge cost me the front indicator unit and a large bump on the head. LAppy battery nearly gone by dover but just about made it home, but just to top off the day it started its old trick of not always changing up into 4th. But there you go joys of p38 ownership.
Luckily got another week off still to sort it all out.

If you look under the functions Tab in the EAS software there is an EAS Lock button, not tried it but pretty sure you could have locked the suspension and unplugged the laptop:)

I had same problem pulling my 2 ton caravan back from Skeggy to Nottingham, we had to plug the faultmate in and keep it running that way, got home and one rear airbag was shot and the other on the way, i replaced both rear bags but was still slow to raise, so brought new kit for Eas pump and now the pump makes far less noise and is as quick as new at lifting, the reason it was slow or sometimes not lifting was due to the pump overheating and tripping the thermal cut out, after fitting the new repair kit it stays well below the burn your fingers level, i also got a rear off side level sensor showing as open but after resetting its never show up again. :) I think them Monkeys messed with your suspension too :D

Got to fiddling about yesterday and a couple of things worried me. Firstly when i plug the lappy in i get the slow 35mph message up straight away, without doing anything just plugging the usb in. it goes after a second but why should just plugging it in cause this, never used to. Also with eas suite running all communicating ok FF and 1 in buffers i cant get it to raise or lower using the goto buttons several other unusual things happening in eas siute.
Unplug it and go up and down on the rocker switch fine ??? whats going on here?
Then got underneath and had a look around, looked at rear left which is where the problem started and both the plastic fixing lugs on the height sensor where broken so pulled it off and ordered a new one from island 4x4. put the meter on it and it seemed ok mostly but occasionally a bit jumpy in the reading.
Will put the new one on when it gets here and see what happens then, just a bit worried it may be the driver pack or somthing else after the funny readings on eas suite

First get the EAS software running, then connect to the OBD, then turn on the ignition and you should get the slow 35mph message to acknowledge comms, click on the run tab. When finished, stop the software, switch off the ignition, unplug the cable.

Height sensor came this afternoon, excellent service from island 4x4 less than 24 hours after ordering.
Put it on. fired up eas suite checked the heights and bingo all seems well, fingers crossed, Only went round the block but hopefully all sorted.
Thanks for all the advice, specially keith and his offers of help in france.
Looking at refurbing the valve block and compressor soon, looking for advice on which kit to buy from all the ones on offer on fleabay

I buy mine from Symlise P38 on Ebay.No affiliation:)

Next time something similar happens (i hope i don't) you can always unplug the EAS relay under the passenger seat (in RHD). If no leaks you can drive until you solve the problem.
