Guess what i hve had today............

feckin COOLANT LOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

after locating the oil leak to a missing bolt on the front cover, tightening it and it sealing i noticed COOLANT LOSS from the little hole on the water pump housing.

any idea why it started when i put the bolt in???

it was only a dribble but obviously with my recent shinanagans with the block i got worried straight away. so i have put a bottle of barrs leaks fluid in and its stopped the leak. i'm assuming it is something miss aligned???

or maybe bearing going in w/pump.

i'd like to know what it is before i change the water pump.

anyway, its all up and running and back on the road, for now at least!!

i had put the old pump on as there was noting wrong with it, right up to today!! i wasnt sure that the car would ever run again but now it does i'll get the pump sorted!!

cos it pumped water and didnt leak!! its a very simple device, water- wet stuff used to cool engine, pump-device or action of moving or transporting wet stuff!

othr than that i have no idea of its codition, it was a little rusty but i would expect that after 13 ears submerged well mostly submerged exepting the events of recently)

Why do yu want to submerge 13 ears! Shirley they come in pairs anyway?

we will find out if there is a damp patch on the seat,how are you doing i/rover

no damp patch, knacker warmers work, i think, not tried em!!! better check in morning!!

gav,i told you that there is nothing nicer on a cold morning getting into your car and turning on the electric knacker warmers,lovely.

engine - floor

there is a small hole in the pump housing and i believe it signals the bearing has gone. the bars leak fluid sorted it tho!!
