Grinding noise

Lets start from the begining Landry went into my mates garage for a oil leak one of his staff stripped it down to find leak transfer box fcked got 1 of those jus need to fit it .. But wen I had it back he told me my hand brake was grinding wen moving so he release the adjuster so I could use it. So today stripped it down regreased all up readjusted the shoes and handbrake and it grinding again ?? Stripped it and checked all working fine but still grinding and wen I go in reverse it stops dead after about 5 feet can't figure wot the fcks goin on any ideas guy would b apprieciated uke2: oh by the way ts a 94 300tdi defender if it helps

did they swap complte transfer box ? are you sure hand brakes adjusted/assembled right and if another box its okay out put bearing etc

No I haven't done the transfer box yet I jus wanted get the handbrake working .. I jus looked on YouTube and watched a vid and the shoes buit up rite I adjusted them rite it's jus baffled me I done loads of brakes and can't put my finger on the problem ??

well stripped down again and still feels like they are grindin at low speeds fck knows wots goin on but doin my head in any 1 plzz got any other ideas ????
