Well, like I said at the beginning, it started out as an exercise in design for me and was never meant to be a business. Just wanted to share the journey. I loved building the 90 to my own personal spec and I enjoyed creating parts and panels from scratch that were not available to buy.

The photos were from a professional shoot that was entitled 'Tarnished Beauty', so it was all about the battered Land Rover, the war damaged planes and the tattooed girl. Seeing beauty in things that are less than perfect as more and more people look for individuality and charm in a world full of monotony. Some people get it, others see a tattooed bird and a bent 90.... That's fine.

Nice planes! :) Not bovvered about tattooed girls, and I like my landrovers unmolested. Been running em a long time, and I haven't seen many things change for the better, TBH.

It's a 200tdi out of a discovery. Started out as a petrol with the Police, but was converted about 3 years ago using Disco axles as well. It came as a bit of an off-road toy but it had all the essential bits that I was looking for as a project.

Gearbox? well you might as well tell us as well.....:p:p:p

Cheers

get stuck into the forum. give advice, receive help and if anyone wants a new dash, then offer to chat via pm.

Thanks, I'll look out for your PM in the morning. ;)

I quite like the roof on your Ninety. Always wished mine(89) had the ribbed on the outside roof, rather than the flat on the outside one.

I may be softening up, but nowhere near enough to buy one of those dashboards!

Give it time... I'll do one for you in John Deere colours with the grab handle wrapped in Siloflex...

Don't hold yo breath. I wouldn't have one if you paid me.
I'm not holding my breath don't worry about that.

Curious to know why you're negative towards the new style dashboard though. I mean the one I made is exactly the same as the tdci but it's made to fit straight into the older models, so is it just the newer dash that you don't like?

It's interesting.

Do all the vents work?

Cheers
Yes, plus I put two more vents lower down for better air circulation.

I'm playing about with ideas on the flaps. I started out thinking that it would be best to seal them like the Puma.

However, I think it might work better to stick some electric actuators on the flaps, opened by a dashboard switch, with air scooped and channeled to the two facial vents.

Work in progress.

At the moment the dash vents all work from the current heater/blower.

Possibly because I don't have a defender. This is a Landrover forum, not a defender one :D
