Well, sorry, but I don't think I will pm you ... I've worked hard to find these lanes and won't normally simply hand over locations, sorry. I've done a small guide to how to find lanes http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f13/finding-gree-lanes-what-i-do-80111.html so you can maybe use that.

If you have some time over the next week I'm off work and could show you a few .... trouble is they're only 'near' Doncaster in as much as they're nearer Retford ... ;) There simply aren't many lanes round Doncaster so you have to go a bit further afield.

If you want to try the ford, look for Crookford on the map ...

OK, got a few days off, so if anyone else has Friday off, I'm going laning!

Will be re-doing some of the above and a few extras. Very scratchy (mostly overgrown, it's summer!) some with deep ruts, so recovery might be necessary, depends on the weather!!

Anyone interested, post here and I'll post or pm a meeting point and time.

Not worried, I'm off work so easy.

I'd say start at 10am at A1 Blyth Services maybe. Route is about 45 ish miles and will take about 3 to 4 hours depending on weather, state of lanes and stops!! There'll be about 1/4 mile of the A1, then later we have to cross it again, and through Retford town centre, finishing in Bawtry.

Post what's a convenient time for you if that's not! ;)

Looks like i might be able to come, its great being a branch manager i knew there would be a perk or two. The only other question is is it hard going my landy is a little old and smoky and the clutch release bearing is noisy so if i was really giving it some stick i could end up in a pickle. But im right up for it.

Nope, not hard so long as it's not been stupidly raining .. ;)

Done most of them a few months ago with a standard Disco and a Classic Range Rover, both with road tyres on!

There's a couple that might be deep rutted, if they're too bad we'll just not do them, maybe!

well count me in Paul i will pm you with me contact number, but i will meet you at Blyth Services or well anywhere you fancy it. See you @ 10 on friday.

I wouldn't mind being shown around. Living in rotherham and work in Doncaster. Not been off road in my landy yet!

Cant get Friday off tho, Baby sitting till 12 and working at 1. I was off last Friday, Typical!

OK, not been on for a couple of days, been off work so out in the caravan with no connection, this is from a Public Library!

Still on for tomorrow. Time and start as posted earlier, I'll not be hanging around long waiting, as I can't check the thread for anyone else that might be coming ... ;) Whoever turns up I'll be near the entrance to the carpark, My Disco is pictured in my Avatar, and will have a Hi-Lift mounted on the spare wheel. Also likely to be a bit muddy, been out checking new lanes around Gainsborough area this week!

Ok everyone I to will be there from 9:45 ish I have a blue series 3 trust me you can't miss it for all the smoke.lol see you tomorrow everyone.

Well you all missed out on a great day everyone. 10/10 for the route Paul it was great will have to send me the map, I've got me a PDA so I can use memory map. It's a must have I think.

Rob has more pics ... ;)

It was very good, all my usual lanes and a couple more for variety. All fairly easy except for a couple that are pretty rutted and clay-based muddy, so hold water.

I guess Photobucket doesn't do videos ... ;)

I'll post it from youtube in a few minutes.
