Grabber AT2 sizes ??? - Will these fit ??

Hi,

Can someone confirm if a grabber AT2 215/70 will fit on my freelanders standard 215/65 rims ok ???

I know its not much of an size increase i just need to make sure before i order them up ?

Yes thats correct, im only not sure as they are a different size of 70 instead of the standard 65's that are allready fitted ?

I think iv heard that 70's on 65's will be fine ?

that's the height you're looking at, not the width! :doh:

The 215/70 will be 22mm larger diameter than the 215/65 so check your clearance to the arches!

I've just had some grabber at2's fitted. 215/65R16 are easy to get hold of. If you buy them from a tyre fitter, they'll need to order them in and they won't stock local, or at the ware house.

Will have to go to my locals and get some prices then.

Iv been looking online at black circles.com they only do the 70R16's. I could probably get away with the 70's.
on that calculator you sent, it showed a 3% increase where they reccommend a maximum of 2.5% increase only.

So will have to hunt around.

215/70-16 looks good and is nice to drive. It will not be any problems with the arches.
I have Cooper Discovery 215/70-16 on mine. Next time I will try 225/70-16.

I have the AT2's in 215/70/16 on mine, perfect fit. Go ahead and get your 70 profile tyres, it'll give you a bit more clearance as well. Not much more but enough.

I have the AT2's in 215/70/R16 fitted to mine too! Fit no problems and as Freebiker said they will give you a little bit more clearance

I also actually ordered mine from Blackcircles.com too. Had them fitted at one of the partnered garages.

In the dry they're ok, in the wet though you have to be a little careful.

Small roundabouts in the wet need to be taken with car else you'll just keep going forward.

To be honest, i drive my girl like she's an F1 car and the tyres do me well. Not lost traction once. Perfect tyres for the snow as well.

I haven't had any problems with mine in the dry or the wet! Grand off-road too!

Saying that I don't drive like an eejit when the roads are wet and greasy!

I get a rumble on mine from 20 to 30mph. They rumble a bit all the time, but more noticable at 20 to 30mph. All 4 tyres are at 30psi. Does anyone else have this, and what psi do you run yours at?

Aye forgot to mention off road, will certainly get you out of sticky situations.

I run mine at 32psi, i find 30psi to be a bit too erm soft?

The freeby is the perfect 4X4 to 'chuck about' It's great fun, handles very well and takes everything you could possibly throw at it in it's stride. Of course you've got to know the limits, but thats the same with every car.

Well, tyres all fitted and must i say im impressed.

There actually more quiet than my last road tyres !!!

Grip is goo aswell, and there much better in the mud.
