done no problems, insurance is going stupid these days, I've not been driving as long as some on the forum but do have 10 years without a crash / claim with a full HGV 1 / PSV licence a lot of driving training from both yet my insurance was still high before I changed to traders

Agreed
My traders is £277 which i think is pritty good but when i tryed to get my daugter insured on "my purple fiesta" it came in at £1897!! WHAT!!! that 4 times what the cars worth and thats in my name i darnt ask what it would be in her name. they dont even give them a chance.

I have just signed a petition on the government web site calling for affordable car insurance. Here is the URL. Affordable Car Insurance - e-petitions
Insurance companies need to be controlled.
There is another petition running along side this one calling for stricter legislation on claims management companies. URL as follows Claims management companies should face strict legislation - e-petitions
Lets get these thieving bastards sorted out!

Signed it and posted a link on my facebook

It's not just the premiums they need to control, they need to give Police more power in convicting people of 'hit and claim'

There was one on the bbc website a few months back on how a (pakistani) man and his brother made over 40 whiplash and loss of earning claims, I don't believe people who say there wasn't any red tape which stopped them getting convicted earlier.

lol, that panorma about 3 weeks back with the family run pakastani business doing only that - they had a shop and everything. unbelivable!

Yeah, we watched that as well. How can they get away with it, they had 2 or 3 claims in at the same time against the same car. The other thing came out of that programme was that insurance companies are SELLING details of accident claims by their customers to these claims management companies and then wanting to charge us extra to cover their losses. Losses created by these crooks who stage accidents to claim for non-existent injuries.

Just signed it, i've got 41 years as a proffessional driver, never had a point on my licence and never had a claim ( that's 41 years ncb ) and they have put mine up 65% this year. Charge the people who are making the claims and not those of us with good driving records.
