Got pulled over this evening...

I've been pulled a few times in my 90 at night for a random check to see if it's stolen. Also got pulled for speeding in my disco when driving the Mrs to the hospital to give birth to our second son, but he understood why when he saw her screaming in the front of the truck and let me off :)

I often drive late night / early morning sadly though in wiltshire I haven't been pulled over once in 10 years ! despite receiving letters from the plod about thefts.

As other have said I would happily be pulled over to check its me behind the wheel.

I've done in excess of 50000 miles since buying the Land Rover four years ago and I was expecting to be stopped by the police once in a while, but so far it hasn't happened. They've often had a good look at me, and I assume checked my details to confirm that it's taxed and insured and that I look like a middle aged man, and have gone on their way.

Yes, I was pulled over recently because a red Defender was stolen locally (mine is orange), I had just gone through one of them Anpr mobile vans and it was an un marked BMW that chased and stopped me. He said my rear plate flagged up as a 'concern' but didn't know why, after a discussion we decided it was my light guard upsetting the camera so decided to investigate.
I was quite pleased at their actions and told them so.
I also make a cup of tea for the guy who parks the speed camera van outside my house, 30mph limit outside a school.
His record is 83mph...

That guy needs to stop speeding 83 when in a van, drinking tea, how did you ever get it to him without spilling it...

But it is good to see plod taking something seriously.
