Marcus,

I couldn't be a pain in the butt and ask for some pics please. I need to know where the bulkhead is cut as mine is being done in the next coupla days. I'm welding in my roll cage this morning, then my III engine is coming out for the v8 to go in, cos it's taking up space in the workshop ! hehe...

Also, a coupla pics of how the throttle cable go on would be appreciated.

Cheers

Gordon

No prob' if you can wait 'till the w/end? After it's MOT tomorrow I'll prob' be stripping off the carpet the bulkhead is plastered in. Not that it's a bad job, I just want to see what's going on underneath it.

If you need any other pointers or pictures (stuff like fitting a remote oil filter) give me a shout.

Are you using a similar engine to mine? One thing I'd advise is modding the nearside inner wing somehow as the manifold on that side is about 1/4" from it. If you ever needed to remove the manifold, you'd prob' need to lift the engine to do it!

The exhaust routing looks tortuous too, but does exit neatly thru' the rear PTO hole. Next big item on the shopping list is a custom stainless exhaust!

Anyway, ask away, though I'm only just finding my way around this one myself at the mo'.

Bluddy 'ell Daft, will you let up! Bluddy doom monger. After my transfer box, I'm PARANOID! I checked & re-checked the levels. I'll be wearing out the threads on the filler plugs at this rate.

Had a bonus day off today so spent the entire day (well, when it wasn't hailing ice peas!) just pawing over it, doing dumb little jobs & seeing what's what. It does look to be in remarkably good nick, even the doors on closer inspection seem to be sound!

So shut yer face!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Did call after yer post cuz I cudn't wait any longer, it's next up & that wuz about 15 mins ago!

Er, you're not making this ANY better Mondo!

You sure you put all the fill plugs in nice an tight ????

yer dint notice if all the bulbs wer still workin when yer dropped it off ???

Lets hope he dint lift too much carpet back :D

Ha ha, the one thing that DID crack me up yesterday wuz:

Thought the spare, although brand spanking new, never seen tarmac, looked 'a bit soft'. Took it off the door to take it down the garage to put a bit of air in it.............no valve stem. Brand new tyre on a rim, but no air! If he spots it I'll get him to stick a toob in! Might not look too close cos' it's new & all!

ah bet some tulip fitted the tyre and nipped the toob, then due to the humpin and bumpin of the landy the valve will have withdrawn back into the tyr
