Hi guys!
I'm looking for a set of tough tyres f or a second set of rims I have for greenlaning forays, offroading and general off road work, I currently have some xzl's that are running low on tread and these have proved on the whole very robust, although shìte in the snow, and hopeless at digging themselves out of ruts.

I'm thinking of the insa dakar as I love the classic old bfg m/t tread, but I read an old LRO that said the G90 was developed for the military, so would be on par with the zxl for toughness etc.

Anyone running on these G90's? Pros, Cons? Be interested to hear any feedback!

Had a set on my LWB pick up, horrendous, lasted a fortnite and I was back in JSF in Norwich getting them off for a set of General Grabber radials on, you would be taking your life in your hands cornering at any speed in the wet.

If I were getting a set of tyres for a Series or a Defender then I would be looking at a set of XZL, super tyres and very hard wearing.

If you like the BFG 'blocky' pattern you might be interested in a set of Event M968+ tyres. They're BFG lookalikes, a bit noisy on the road. I've yet to try them in snow but they seem okay on muddy tracks, though I've not been in extreme conditions yet.

Don't ferget ter buy round tires this time. Yer dun't want the same problems yer had last time.
