Hello there I'm a newbie on this forum and I'm now living in Runcorn! Originally from North Wales I've owned all sorts of landrover from an ex mod 109 pick up, 101 ambulance, 110 with a 6 litre perking diesel in it, freelancer a few years back, rrc and a V8 disco 2, now I've gone for a L322 rangerover. Any others out there off roading in their l322?

Welcome to the loonyzone, Jason! :)
Sounds like you have a good landrover background there! :)
Are you sure the Perkins was six litre ? Would be a beast in a landy!

Engine was a perking 6354 out of a dodge truck with an adapter ring to a 101 lt gearbox with over drive just to save your ears a bit!

They are a very good engine, I have serviced many in times gone by. And years ago helped a friend put one in a 109" !:) Hard on the halfshafts, though! :D

I could be wrong, but at a guess I would think 354 cubic inches is more like 5 litres than six, though.

Think the spec is 5.7 litre
You could well be right, they are a nice engine whatever. I have had 4/203 in landy, and IIRC my Massey has 4/254. When I bought the tractor, there was another in the yard, same but six cylinder. I was sorely tempted, but it was a bit overgunned for me, over 100 horse, in the end I stayed with 4 cylinder.
Good engine in a boat too! :)
